On the enchanted road not far from the capital of Abruzzo region
Near "L'Aquila" the regional capital of Abruzzo, not far from its outskirts, in the mountains of the small town of "Colle Ripa". In "Roio Piano" Municipality, going left along the "Costa Grande" (Big Ridge) towards the Valley of "Campoli-Michetti", just a half-day walk can make you discover a truly enchanted landscape.
Due to the fact that nowadays this track isn't much frequented by man, or animals, and isn't marked either, it's often difficult to identify. In fact, not everyone finds it immediately and when they do, at first glance, it seems to be leading to nothing in the middle of nowhere.
Abandoned Fields in hills where we now can see only the signs of a fatigue that has been there in the past, and what a fatigue!
